Safety Tips
Trading locally is fun, fast, and simple. Use these tips to ensure a safe, secure, and positive experience on click4ble.com.
handshake Meeting a Buyer or Seller in Person
Many click4ble.com transactions happen face-to-face for local pickup. A few precautions make these meetups safe for everyone.
check_circle Do
- Meet in a well-lit, public place with other people around, such as a shopping centre, café, or a police station's public exchange area if your local station offers one.
- Bring a friend, or at least tell someone where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Meet during daylight hours whenever possible.
- Inspect the item thoroughly before paying, checking that it works and matches the listing's description and photos.
- Keep all communication before the meetup inside click4ble.com's messaging system, so there's a record if something goes wrong.
cancel Don't
- Don't meet at your home, or invite a stranger into your home, to complete a transaction.
- Don't go alone to an isolated location, an underground car park, or agree to meet late at night.
- Don't hand over the item or payment until you've verified the other side has held up their end of the deal.
- Don't let yourself be rushed into skipping the inspection because the other person claims to be "in a hurry."
- Don't share your home address, financial details, or ID documents — a public meeting point is all that's needed.
local_shipping Buying or Selling Items That Are Shipped
When an item is shipped rather than collected in person — including purchases between different cities or EU countries — a few extra precautions protect both sides of the transaction.
- Always pay through click4ble.com's "Buy Now" checkout rather than a direct bank transfer, so your payment is held in escrow until delivery is confirmed rather than sent straight to the seller.
- Sellers should ship using one of our supported trackable carriers (DPD/Speedy, DHL, or FedEx) and add the tracking number to the order right away — untracked shipping leaves both sides with no proof if the parcel goes missing.
- Buyers should wait until the parcel has actually arrived and been inspected before confirming receipt; once confirmed, payment is released to the seller and is difficult to reverse.
- Photograph the item and its packaging before shipping (sellers) and again upon arrival (buyers) — this evidence is invaluable if a dispute arises over the item's condition.
- Be cautious of any request to communicate or pay outside click4ble.com, such as being asked to wire money directly or ship to an address that doesn't match the one confirmed at checkout.
- Peer-to-peer purchases on click4ble.com are currently limited to buyers paying with a card issued within the EU; if a "seller" pressures you to use an unusual payment method to work around this, treat it as a red flag.
